Decolonized Tarot: A New Deck for the Global Majority

Hello all,

We wanted to hop on here to update everyone on our shipping progress - unfortunately, we have been hit with another medical issue that is affecting our original timeline. This past week our illustrator (and deck printing expert) Cathleen was admitted to the hospital and had a premature birth. Her baby is doing okay but she is in the NICU and needs all the prayers and good energy you are able to send (you helped us so much last time and we love you so much, spiritual community!) Because she is still recovering, Cathleen was unable to send the decks off for printing this week like we had originally planned. We deeply apologize for this delay but we hope everyone will understand that we had to prioritize Cathleen and her newborn baby's health this past week. We apologize again and will provide more updates in coming days as soon as we have a better idea what the new estimated delivery timeline will be.

In the meantime, we wanted to share with you completed pages from our deck's corresponding Illustrated Guidebook, which will be printed and shipped shortly after the decks themselves (don't worry - each deck has a small accompanying booklet if you need guidance with your deck in the meantime!) Here is an example of what the pages in your Guidebook will look like:

We also wanted to share our beautiful pins with you now that they've been produced:

These special edition pins, inspired by the seasons, will be shipped out at the same time as the Decolonized Tarot Decks. While these were limited edition pins, we also hope to create more pins and merchandise in the future once we finish shipping out everything from this deck, so let us know what you'd like to see!

One final reminder that we are locking orders tonight on Backerkit so we can begin shipping ASAP! Be sure to edit your shipping address by tonight or make any last edits/purchases you want before it's too late! You have until around 12pm PST tonight before we actually go ahead and lock the orders. We do not want anyone to miss out on getting a deck, so please let us know if you need any help and we will do our best to assist!

Hello everyone!! Wanted to update everyone on shipping progress since it is officially October (happy spooky month, official Month of Magic, AND Filipino-American History Month)! We had initially planned for decks to be shipped to everyone by Halloween, but we are unfortunately expecting decks to arrive closer to November now - big apologies to anyone who hoped to use the deck on Halloween 😣

The good news is that we received the newest version of the deck prototype and the cards look absolutely STUNNING! We know you are going to love using them - wait till you see the gold edges! However, the bad news is that the graphics on the actual box came out blurry. It's a beautiful box design and we want it to look absolutely perfect for you so we've fixed the files and have sent them out to be re-printed. We are still expecting this corrected deck to arrive in time for the holidays, so fear not if you planned on giving this deck as a gift. Posters and pins will also be shipped out at the same time as the decks and those are looking spectacular as well. Our Illustrated Guidebook is in the very final stages of editing and will be ready to print shortly too. We are wrapping up animating the last of the the cards for the Animated Guidebook with our animator and will provide more details about the release of that ASAP.

Finally, deck illustrator Cathleen is also finishing illustrating the Zodiac Deck for anyone who ordered that, and will be shipped in coming months - stay tuned for more illustration reveals from that VERY soon! Please let us know if you have absolutely any questions and we will do our best to answer them! We cannot emphasize enough how much we have appreciated everyone's patience, kindness, and support throughout this entire journey, especially after facing delays and major life-turning events. We cannot for you to finally be able to hold this deck ❤️

Exciting News!! Our Deck is Fully Illustrated and Completed!

Despite many pushbacks from life, we have finally finished illustrating the Decolonized Tarot Deck! We are now in the midst of production, and we should be on track to start shipping in October! While you wait for your decks, please enjoy two new Ace cards (from the Cups and Pentacles suits, respectively.)

The last day to make any additional purchases will be September 30th, so be sure to grab any additional products you want before this batch of orders is locked and prices rise! We HIGHLY recommend the corresponding Illustrated Guidebook to anyone who is getting the deck; we've been working so hard on this book and it is going to be absolutely beautiful and so in-depth. We are also still offering the Animated E-Book version (featuring moving cards!) on our Backerkit.
